It's the dingy, dirty snow that's been sitting there that kills me. I got totally made fun of in a couple meetings for going somewhere colder for Christmas vacation... Going somewhere warm will be nice for you! I will take cozy and snow outdoorsy fun over facing the beach any day though... :) We don't have a tree up, but our decorations stay up through the 6th, out of tradition for Epiphany (even though we're not religious now). I could have taken it all down Monday though if I'd had the energy, something about a clean, fresh, decluttered house for the new year is lovely. It was unruly but very cheerful!

When you're going through IF stuff, I think it can be really helpful to have those things with an end goal you have more control over. I also find it really healing to nourish life in any form – whether it's plants, pets, or the hummingbirds at the feeder outside. I love the pictures and the promise of winter being done someday (I always say I've clearly got a geographic mismatch between where I live with long winters and my personality where I dislike cold/snow/ice). December was oppressive and disgusting. At least it's a few minutes lighter now every day. I need to re-think Christmas next year and go somewhere warm I think. Half of the city still have bloody Christmas trees and Santas up: what's wrong with people.Different Shoreshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04258965034047522109noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7998166587816121679.post-82619671840419586312017-01-03T20:40:57.168-08:002017-01-03T20:40:57.168-08:00Yes.
